Description
This type of machine
♦ is a new (or China's third) generation of Jet-Type Flotation Machine for fine coal flotation;
♦ was updated with multiple significant technical improvement in technical indexes in comparison with its previous type (or China's second generation, the XPM Jet-Type Flotation Machine);
♦ was certified in 2005' technical appraisal with such a conclusion that "it has (China) the original proprietary intellectual property rights, the overall technology international advanced level";
♦ has been successfully used near 400 coal prep plants in China.
Technical Characteristics
Being different from conventional mechanical-agitation type of flotation cells, thistype of flotation cellshas the following characteristics:
♦ Generation of micro-bubbles that are selective for fine coal's flotation
♦ High mineralization rate duetovertical cross-flow of coal slurry and air bubbles, whichenhances the attachment probabilitiesof coal particles onto air bubble surfaces
♦ Long service life because of no moving partsand use of wear-resistant materials for its wearing parts
♦ Reduction of chemical reagent consumption because of improved chemicaldispersion by using the specially designedand patented Spray-Cascading Pulp Conditioner
♦ High overall separation performance (see the tabulated data: clean coal ash and yield, tailings ash and Flotation Perfect Index)
♦ Low power consumptions
Significantly high unit capacit
There are two series and 15 models of the Jet-Flotation Cells with the capacities ranged from 6~8 m3/m3-Hr..
Structure
The main parts of a FJC Jet-Flotation Cell include:
♦ Inflatable mixing device- Core part of a FJC Flotation Cell
♦ Flotation tank
♦ Blowing bubbles device and discharging device
♦ Liquid level adjusting device
♦ Coal slurry recirculation pump

Mechanism
A pre-conditioned coal slurry enters the feed tank (at front of the machine). A part of the slurry is fed into the 1st cell for inflatable mixing, and another part is sucked into the recirculation pump at the false-bottom and then is jet-sprayed rapidly in spiral-shape from a conic nozzle. Under the sucking, a vacuum forms in the jet-chamber,and thus air is sucked in through the air pipe and then wrapped into the sprayingstream. A jet-stream flows through a throat-pipe and then sprays in an umbrella-shapeto the false-bottom to have sufficient mixing. Mineralized bubbles arescraped off, and un-separated coal particles flow through the holes, and then enter the cell's back-partfor re-flotation. Tailings are discharged from the Tailings box.
